Deck and Wardrobe Crew Open Positions

Imagination Stage is looking for run crew to fill Deck and Wardrobe crew positions throughout our 24-25 season. We are looking to fill the Deck and Wardrobe positions, as well as a Deck/Wardrobe Crew Swing, for each of our mainstage Lerner shows. See below for a brief description of expectations/responsibilities:

Deck Crew

  • Maintain run paperwork that includes preset, preshow, run of show, and post show. Works during the run to keep this paperwork current
  • Maintaining a safe working environment backstage and in the shop area
  • Sweeps and Mop the Stage prior to rehearsals and performances
  • Presets all scenic and prop elements according to the run paperwork before each performance
  • Purchase consumables for the show as necessary
  • Assist Wardrobe Captain with quick changes during the performance
  • Maintain and repair scenery and props as necessary
  • Perform small paint touch ups as necessary
  • Assist with lighting and sound repairs and maintenance during show calls and after performances as required by the Stage Manager and Lighting, Sound, and Projections Manager
  • Other duties as assigned by the Stage Manager or Production Manager

Wardrobe Crew

  • Maintain run paperwork that includes preset, preshow, run of show, and post show/laundry list. Works during the run to keep this paperwork current
  • Check in and preset all costumes before both rehearsals (during tech and performances) and performances, reset all costumes post show and between shows. Do laundry, preparing and collecting dry cleaning, and repairs as necessary
  • Dress actors (costumes, hair, makeup) as needed before the show
  • Perform quick changes and work with and assist the Deck Captain with  prop handoffs/scenic  transitions during the performance
  • Prepare costumes at the end of the production for strike with guidance from the Costume Shop Manager
  • Maintain a safe working environment backstage and in the dressing rooms
  • Assist the Costume Shop Manager and Costume Designer with costume load in and dressing room preparations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Costume Shop Manager, Stage Manager or Production Manager

Winnie the Pooh:

  • Design Run: 09/06/2024
  • Tech: 09/11/2024 - 09/17/2024
  • Performances: 09/18/2024 - 10/27/2024

A Cajun Red Riding Hood: Petite Rouge

  • Design Run: 11/26/24
  • Tech: 12/04/2024 - 12/10/2024
  • Performances: 12/11/2024 - 3/7/2025

Dory Fantasmagory

  • Design Run: 06/06/2025
  • Tech: 06/11/2025 - 06/17/2025
  • Performances: 06/18/2025 - 08/03/2025

Tech days are typically 10a-6p. Weekday performances are at 10:30a with occasional 12:30p performances. Weekend performances are 10a, 1p, with occasional 4p performances for Winnie the Pooh and 1p and 4p for A Cajun Red Riding Hood and Dory Fantasmagory. Run crew should expect to be called 60 minutes prior technical rehearsals and 90 minutes prior to  performances. 

Compensation is $22/hr.
