Early Childhood

Our Early Childhood classes are a sensory-stimulating way to introduce students to the world of theatre and dance while also building lifelong skills such as teamwork, sharing, confidence building, and gaining independence. Students develop gross motor skills through movement activities, fine motor skills through visual art projects, learn basic music skills, and learn to use their four Actor’s Tools of body, voice, mind, and imagination through dramatic play.

Classes for our very young students and their caregivers, ages 12 – 36 months:

Designed for caregivers and children to take together, these classes use dramatic play, music, movement, and props to stimulate the senses and promote your child’s growth. You and your child strengthen your bond while exploring a new story each week based on the class theme. Our creative, multi-sensory play approach promotes a child’s development of language and motor skills while encouraging cooperative play.

Class title examples include: You & Me: All Around Town, You & Me: Winter Wonderland, You & Me: Baby Animals, You & Me: Trains, Planes, & Automobiles

Classes for pre-school aged students; ages 3-5:

In these drop-off classes, students work together to create stories, generate new ideas, develop relationships while building upon others’ ideas, and enter the world of make believe. Our teaching artists lead students through an exploration of a story or concept, followed by mini-lessons in drama, art, song, instrument play, or movement to bring the story or concept to life. Through the use of music, movement, and dramatic play, these classes ignite your child’s imagination while flexing their problem-solving, language, and physical skills.

Class title examples include: Dinosaur Drama, Knights, Princesses, & Dragons, Dance Disney, Amazing Animals, Broadway Boogie, Disney Drama
