REPORTS TO: Patron Services Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part-Time Hourly, Permanent Non-Exempt
POSITION STATUS: Flexible schedule with Saturdays, Sundays, evenings, weekdays and holidays.

Imagination Stage is seeking dynamic, detail, and customer-oriented individuals for the position of Patron Services Associate, who are responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to the patrons of Imagination Stage--including ticket buyers, students, teachers, and schools--in the box office and at the reception desk. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General

  • Arrive to workstation on time and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required training and meetings. Maintain an organized working area and environment.
  • Adhere to Imagination Stage policies and procedures, including maintaining highest level of professional conduct
  • Check the Trello board for any updates, new FAQs, and reminders 
  • Assist with registration, ticket sales, concessions, and data entry
  • Be proficient and accurate in Tessitura and institutional knowledge
  • Process sales and requests by patrons
  • Troubleshoot complex customer services issues
  • Assist with training of new Associates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Reception

  • Open and/or close the building as needed
  • Monitor front entrances and greet, assist, and direct incoming patrons
  • Answer phones, take and return messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person(s)
  • Assist with requests for information on the phone, via email,  and in person
  • Distribute mail, collect and meter outgoing mail
  • Post building notices/messages for incoming patrons

Box Office

  • Execute communications and requests from patrons (email & phone)
  • Check the mail for forms to be processed, emailed, etc.
  • Update and send any important box office forms or reports as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Computer Literacy (Especially Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Pleasant and tactful telephone manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to think quickly
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in customer service required (previous box office experience is a plus)
  • Previous experience with Tessitura preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Work Environment

Frequent work in an active environment, and with those of all ages

Compensation

$18/hour
