The Apprenticeship is a one-year program that equips a select group of outstanding candidates with intensive, hands-on experience in professional theatre and theatre education.

Imagination Stage Apprenticeships

Every Imagination Stage Apprentice has the opportunity to work on projects outside of their career focus department, allowing each apprentice hands-on experience in all aspects of theatre production, management, and education as interested and available.

Schedule

An Average Of 45 Hours Per Week, Over A 5 Day Work-week; Days Off Per Week Vary.

Contract Specifics

Education Apprentices: One Year, September 2022 through August 2023

All Other Apprentices: Nine Months, September 2022 through May 2023

Compensation

$1,800/Month

Apprenticeship Career Focus Opportunities

Development

The Development Apprentice will work with both the Development and Marketing departments.

Education

Two Education Apprentices will work under the Education Program Manager and the Access & Inclusion Coordinator to support the overall administration and maintenance of the Education department and its programming, including work that supports accessibility and inclusion at Imagination Stage.

Production

Two Production Apprentices will work in and help support all areas of the Production department. Tasks will include assisting during lighting hang and focus as well as scenery load-in for all professional and student productions in both the Lerner and Reeve theatres.

Applicants Must Submit The Online Istage Apprentice
Application which must include the following attachments
(In Word Or Pdf Format):
1. Cover Letter stating your interest in this apprenticeship. please
also include your first and second choice focus area (education,
access & inclusion, institutional development, and/or production).
2. Resume
3. A Writing Sample outlining your career goals and your
philosophy on theatre and/or theatre education.
Limit: two pages, single spaced, no smaller than 10 pt. font.
