Teacher Resources
Imagination Stage has numerous resources and programs for professional development and for in-school arts education for students. They include Imagination Quest, Theatre Field Trips and Study Guides:
1. Imagination Quest (IQ) brings arts-based teaching and learning across the curriculum, working within under-resourced schools to inspire academic achievement through discovery learning. The goal of IQ is to use the multisensory aspects of theatre to enhance student achievement and foster creative and social skills. It is comprised of three initiatives: Teach to Reach (professional development for teachers), Learning to Read, Reading to Learn (for students), and Partners for Learning (for parents/caregivers).
Over the past 12 years, IQ has reached over 1,908 teachers, 485 parents and caregivers, 3,592 students directly through residencies, another 10,000 indirectly through sharings and other school-wide activities, and 80 school principals from MD, DC, CA, VA, and NH. Read more about Teacher Training.
2. Theatre Field Trips enhance classroom learning and provide children with an arts experience that they will always remember! Reserve tickets early so your class won't miss out on the best shows in the region, performed by top professional actors in our beautiful theatre. Click here to learn more.
3. Study Guides include activities and lessons that will enrich and expand on a students experience before and after attending a Theatre Field Trip at Imagination Stage. Click here to review and download our study guides.
