Paper Dreams opens March 11!

In a brand-new collaboration with Mons Dansa Dance Company Barcelona, Spain, we bring to life our first DANCE performance- based show, perfect for ages 1-5 that explores the many facets of creativity. A fun, interactive production that tells the story of two delightful creatures who live inside a wastepaper basket. Can our greatest mistake actually turn out to be the next greatest innovative idea?

The jungle makes its way to Bethesda on Saturday, May 13th starting at 3:30 p.m. This year’s event will include a special performance of The Jungle Book, a buffet reception, silent auction, and creative activities for children (and adults) of all ages. Purchase your tickets online today!

Winter/Spring Classes
Is your child loving their Winter/Spring class? Continue the fun through Spring with one of our 6-week classes! We have options for ages 1-18 in a wide variety of genres, so your child can try something new or explore one of their current interests. Check out our course catalog to find the perfect class for your child!

Spring Break Camp is April 10-14! We offer week-long Spring Break camps full of jam-packed days of acting, dance, creative drama, and filmmaking to enjoy during students’ days off of school (and help working parents while school is on break)! Register today!

This Summer, your child can perform on stage!

Musical Production Camp, JR for rising grades 2-4:
In these two week camps, students will learn valuable theatre arts skills in acting, singing,
movement, and production design, all while rehearsing a production!
This year’s shows are Treasure Island, The Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland, and The Pied Piper.

Musical Production Camp, SR for rising grades 5-9:
Students will work with professional directors, choreographers, and music directors
from the DC Metro Theatre community, young artists experience intensive training to understand the actor’s process from auditions to the creation of believable and sustainable characters, to the final performance. The shows are Bye Bye Birdie and Seussical, JR. Students can also participate in our Musical Theatre Showcase.

Summer Production Camp for rising grades 9-12:
High school actors perform in the Black Box theatre style where actors rely mostly on
their use of body, voice, and strong acting technique. Jumping right into the rehearsal
process, actors experience a professional and intensive experience that is fast paced and fun! You’ll be amazed at the theatricality we’ll build in just two weeks!

This year’s show is Anon(ymous) by Naomi Iizuka.

Early Childhood Workshops

At Saturday Song Circle you and your child will explore a popular children’s book through song and music in this fun, interactive workshop! Plus, you’ll receive songs to practice at home. This month’s titles include Barnyard Dance, and The Little Engine that Could. Song Circle is best for ages 1-3, but 4-5 year-old siblings and friends are also welcome!

Sunday Fun-Day workshops explore favorite children’s stories with dramatic play activities, movement, music, and visual art. Each session, you will leave with a special take-home item and a Parent Pack to extend the experience at home. This month’s titles include Not a Box,Little Blue Truck, Cock-a-doodle-doo! Barnyard Hullabaloo. Sunday Fun-Day is best for ages 3-5, but 1-2 year-old siblings and friends are also welcome!
