Bring the Magic of Imagination Stage to Your School!

cys3

Imagination Stage has been a leader in Theatre Arts Education in the DC Area for over 29 years. Imagination Stage's "Classes at Your School" Program brings our highly-qualified, experienced and caring teaching artists into your school. We can work with you to craft a class selection that respects your scheduling needs, population and budget. Our goal is to help ensure that the theatre arts are an exciting and fulfilling part of the classroom experience, performance and life. Imagination Stage offers young people the chance to develop skills that will serve them as artists, as students and as members of the community. Our students learn by journeying through differing pathways and we employ the body, voice, mind and imagination in reaching the artist in each child. Using Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences Imagination Stage strives to unlock each child's potential using arts education as the key.

Residencies

Imagination Stage's in-school residencies bring Teaching Artists into the classroom incorporating theatre into the classroom curriculum. These Teaching Artists use theatre arts and the curriculum in your classroom to help enhance student learning. Throughout the sessions of the residency (45 min - 1 hour per session) the Teaching Artist works with the students to fully explore the subject using drama, music, movement and visual arts.

Imagination Stage can work with schools on developing a program to fit within a schools budget, student population, or time constraints.
